How to Choose a Suitable Light?

We need different LED flashlights in different situations. In tactical situations, such as a SWAT member clearing buildings at night or an undercover policeman searching through persons or vehicles, they will need a brighter and easy-to-operate tactical light than in daily situations such as a citizen lighting the room when sudden power-off. I know there are many situations disparate, here are considerations and choices.

Tactical Lights
1. Durability — Different situations require different levels of durability. For tactical situations, the light must be reliable, able to attach your Airsoft AEGs and GBBs and meet your combat conditions.
2. Output — Light output is measured in lumens. The most airsoft guns now use LED emitters and the output of all Night Evolution tactical lights far exceeds the 50-lumen minimum necessary to degrade an aggressor's dark-adapted vision at close combat ranges. 
3. Ergonomic Switch — The light should feature with intuitive switching that allows easy operation and sound grip on the weapon.

Hiking & Camping Flashlights
1. Light dispersion — Look for a flashlight with adjustable beam. A flashlight with adjustable beam will get you out of darkness with a long runtime under low brightness mode during your trip and serves you as camping lantern under high brightness mode. But still remember to carry extra batteries.
2. Weight — Since time of operation is quite long. Try to choose some lightweight flashlight, with durable runtime. And the flashlight could convert to a lantern or freestanding candle for maximum ambiance. Select a small flashlights that is small enough to fit into your pockets so it is easy to fetch in darkness. 
3.  Durability — Just find a flashlight to be scratch-resistant and waterproof if you choose long-distance hiking. 

Night Cycling Flashlights
Since it is a high-speed sport, both high brightness is and during runtime are needed. A non-stop 4- hour runtime is preferred. Light dispersion is quite indispensable for night cycling, while focusing should not be too intense. Weight is not quite demanded in this application, therefore large flashlight is among your choice list, and note that whether it is user-friendly and mountable is within your consideration.

EDC Flashlights

EDC (Every Day Carry) refers to a small collection of tools, equipment and supplies that are carried on a daily basis to assist in tackling situations ranging from the mundane to the disastrous. The term EDC also refers to the philosophy or spirit of 'preparedness' that goes along with the selection and carrying of these items. Implicit in the term is the sense that an EDC is an individual's personal selection of equipment, arrived at after deliberation, rather than a standardized kit. For such application,a low-brightness and long-runtime flashlight is favored by consumers.
