The Scott General Service Respirator (GSR) is not an upgrade to an existing design; it is a completely new gas mask system based on a revolutionary suite of technologies.
Scott Safety have taken current respiratory theory and developed new technologies and new testing methods to ensure that the GSR responds to CBRN threats now, and in the future.

Install the batteries guides:
Step 1: Push the 2 locks on both sides of filter housing, and then rotating in a clockwise direction for 90 degrees to pull off the filter housing.
Step 2: Remove the 3 screws inside the filter housing and press the switch downward, then rotate around the panel to open the batteries compartment.
Step 3: Follow the "+" and "-" signs to install 2 pieces of AA batteries.
Step 4: Press the button on the filter housing to start up or shut off the fan.
